George clooney is known to be quite a prankster. But police in Washington, D.C., weren't laughing Friday when he pulled his latest stunt.
The actor and his father, Nick, were arrested during a protest in front of the Sudanese embassy. Clooney's publicist, Stan Rosenfield, toldwww.tmz.com that the protest was to demand that Sudan allow "humanitarian aid into the country before it becomes the largest humanitarian crisis in the world."
Clooney has been outspoken in recent years about violence in the African nation and recently shot a documentary to raise awareness. He was charged with crossing a police line and released on $100 bail.
Martin Luther King III was also among the 15 people arrested Friday.

Ali Landry has never spoken publicly about her two-week marriage to Mario Lopez in 2004, but she changed that on Thursday's episode of "The Wendy Williams Show."
A report at www.radaronline.com says that Landry, a former Miss USA, confessed that she heard about Lopez's infidelity "right before the wedding," but was afraid to call the ceremony off. Thanks to a friend who showed her how to tap Lopez's phone, Landry soon found that the rumors were true, though her then-husband denied it.
Landry said that she wasn't sharing the information now in order to badmouth her ex. "It's about, for me ... how a woman can move on from a situation like that in her life, in a positive way ... that she can really grow from it."
Landry married director Alejandro Monteverde in 2006. They have two children.

All is well with Keith Richards and Mick Jagger, according to a report at www.rollingstone.com.
The Rolling Stones celebrate their 50th anniversary as a band this year and have celebrations planned in September to mark the milestone. The Rolling Stone report details an honest conversation between longtime friends and band mates Richards and Jagger in which Richards apologizes for any hard feelings caused by his 2010 memoir, "Life."
"As far as the book goes, it was my story and it was very raw, as I meant it to be, but I know that some parts of it and some of the publicity really offended Mick and I regret that," Richards says in the interview.
Striking a conciliatory tone, he continues: "He and I have had conversations over the last year of a kind we have not had for an extremely long time and that has been incredibly important to me."
Jagger, meanwhile, seems content to let bygones be bygones. "Time, I reckon, to move on," he says.
