British Medical Research have shown that foods and dietary supplements with magnesium reduces blood pressure.
In Hertfordshire University (UK) found that supplementation with magnesium can provide a small but clinically significant reduction in blood pressure. Cardiovascular diseases are sent to the light for almost half of Europeans. The main risk factor for death from cardiovascular ailments and kidney failure is considered high blood pressure (hypertension ). The reasons for the latter, in particular, include smoking, sedentary lifestyle, an abundance of salt in the diet and inadequate intake of other minerals such as potassium, calcium and magnesium. Until now, scientists possess the disputed evidence of the impact of magnesium supplementation on blood pressure. Experts from Hartford to clarify this issue, conducted a meta-analysis of data obtained on the basis of 22 studies involving 1173 people. In these studies the subjects received magnesium supplementation at a dosage of 120 to 973 mg for 3-24 weeks. Although not all experiments the pressure was reduced in participants, the overall results have shown that magnesium reduces both systolic and diastolic blood pressure. And the more doses were metal, the better the effect turned out to be.
