Fight That Hangover


You have just woken up from a night of partying. You may have consumed a wee bit more alcohol than you were expecting. And now, you are a suffering. Lights appear brighter. Sounds are louder. Your head is pounding! Now what?
Do not fear! Mr. Party is here! Well, maybe not really but there are some things that you can do to get over that hangover. None of these methods are guaranteed but they do work!
First up, eat some fatty foods. Go to a George Web's or a Dennys and get a nice fatty breakfast. Bacon, sausage, some eggs and maybe some pancakes or waffles to help absorb and settle the stomach. It's like the fat coats the stomach and prevents the brain from realizing all of that special liquid you pumped through it.
Water... Drink lots of it. A lot of people like to drink a lot of it before going to pass out. Pumping water through your system will help force out some of those remnants that are still in your system that are still causing the problems.
You can also try throwing up. It isn't the most pleasant experience but after throwing up it always seems to make things so much better. It won't fix everything but it seems to get rid of some of the more annoying ones.
There are also some cures out now that say they replenish the nutrients that you lose from the drinking. I will neither confirm nor deny as I have never tried them.
Try a cold towel or rag on your head. This tends to help massively with headaches that just don't seem to go away. The general rule is keep it on for 20 minutes or so.
A great drink to have during a hangover is some vegetable juice. Vegetable juice has a lot of healthy elements to it. Pumping your system with vitamins and minerals that it needs can help with purifying the system faster as well as healing whatever damage was caused.
Try eating some guava. This seems to be the wonder fruit for hangovers. Health nuts have their acai berry and pomegranate, but drinks have their guava. This is a popular ingredient in those hangover cure products.
So, there you go. Some possibly ways of eliminating your hangover. Well, maybe not eliminate but get rid of some of the symptoms as well as reducing the overall time the hangover lasts. You really can't ask for much more, can you?
