Finding It Hard to Lose Weight?


Do You find it hard to lose weight? Have you been trying to lose weight for some time? Tried every diet under the sun? Maybe you started off well on a diet, but now it just isn't working. You are one of the millions of people who really do find it hard to lose weight.
Some people can lose a lot of weight to start with, but before long start to gain it back again. If so, you're certainly not alone. It is estimated that 70% of dieters find it hard to lose weight.

If this is ruled out, it could also be that you are suffering one of the same type of problems which affect so many people. They fail to seek, or don't fully understand expert advice. Or they have taken advice but for whatever reason, are not following it to the letter. Maybe you are dieting, but not increasing your activity level or maybe you are just hopping from plan to plan because you haven't really found one you like.

Choose meals that are balanced. You should be eating a variety of lean protein, low-fat dairy, complex carbohydrates, whole grains, fruits and vegetables.
Plan your meals in advance. Don't just grab something when you are hungry. Planning will help give you an overview of what you will be eating and help you to include more nutritious food.
Never shop when you are hungry and always take a list. This will help prevent you giving in to temptation as you pass the goodies.

Adding sugar to tea or coffee can really mount up during the day. Even drinking low calorie soda can give you sugar cravings. If possible stick to water or herbal tea. If you always eat the same foods that you have always eaten, you will not lose weight. If you cut out foods that you like, you will be tempted to go back to them later on. This is one reason why people regain the weight they have lost. It is essential to make substitutions in order to make changes that you can carry on with once you have lost weight. You will probably find that after a while you grow to prefer the healthier version.
For instance, if you like cream, instead of cutting it out completely, change to a half fat cream or better still to a 0% fat creamy yogurt. Instead of eating dips with crisps and crackers, try eating them with slices of carrot, cucumber or red pepper.
