For those of us carrying around a little bit of extra weight, we are always in the know about weight loss methods. And if you are anything like me you have probably tried it all. The only thing I haven't tried is the gastric bypass surgery. I am making a conscious effort to try to do everything that I can that does not involve any kind of surgery. I get some of my crazy ideas from television, but obviously I am not the only one. Ever since a recent episode of the Real House Wives where one of the housewives was wrapped and lost 3 inches, everyone is asking two questions:
1. What is it?
2. Where can I get it?
While the body wrap might seem new {at least to many of us), it's actually been around for centuries. The ancient Egyptians even did them!
A body wrap is the process of using some type of cloth or material that has been soaked in a special formula and adhering it or wrapping it around a particular area of the body to produce a desired result. The wrapping of the body serves different purposes. Some wraps are for body contouring, detoxification, relaxtion, skin care, or for aches and pains. And some wraps do a combination of things.
The type of wrapping that most of us are truly concerned with is the detox body contouring wrap that causes inch loss. You can get these done at an expensive spa, at a body wrap party or save some cash and do it yourself at home. For those lucky enough to have a budget like the Real Housewives on television, it can be a matter of calling up your favorite high end spa and asking what type of wraps they offer.
If you're on a penny pinching house wife budget, you want to get a home wrap kit that's easy to use and priced just right. The cool thing happening now is women are coming together having body wrap parties. That is how I actually got my first wrap, at a party. I know that might sound totally crazy with a room full of women wrapped in nothing but saran wrap right? No, that's actually not how it goes at all and surprisingly it you never have to disrobe to wrap. It's a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The fun part is seeing everyone's results. I hope this helps you understand what a body wrap is and how to get one.
